BAGGAGE

Vietnam Airlines Baggage Information

Starting August 1, 2019, Vietnam Airlines is going to apply the piece concept for baggage allowances on all domestic and international flights, replacing the current weight concept. Accordingly, free baggage allowance is determined by the number of pieces of luggage rather than the total amount of weight that a passenger can travel with. Passengers who have already purchased tickets before the effective date of the new rule are still eligible for the standard baggage allowance as of their existing tickets.

CHECKED BAGGAGE

For tickets issued/exchanged on/after August, 1 2019, Vietnam Airlines will offer a new checked baggage policy as below:

For health and safety reasons, each piece of baggage that is checked in must not exceed 23kg/50lb (for Economy Class/Premium Economy Class) or 32kg/70lb (for Business Class). Its total dimensions (width + heights + depth) must not exceed 158cm/62in.
